The Night at the Museum classic has been around for nearly a decade with the original version that is in English with most of the actors who performed in it reprising their roles. This time with this particular movie, Disney enlisted an all-star cast of actors to perform in this animated tale. They also included some rather infamous names like Cuba Gooding Jr., Ricky Gervais, and Will Ferrell to name just a few. The story is about Davis Oziliam, played by Owen Wilson, who uncovers how cool his old night job was while visiting his childhood museum. He discovers that his favorite relic, Jedediah, portrayed by Ben Stiller, has been stolen. The plot basically follows the plot line of the first movie where he discovers his old night job was not what he thought it was at all. He discovers it is actually a magical world filled with people who come to life only at night and treasures that are lost or stolen. He then embarks on a quest to save Jedediah before something terrible happens to him. This plot has an interesting twist because Davis must discover why this is happening to his favorite museum relic and how he can put an end to it all for good. The animation is a little choppy in some places and the conversations between the actors and their animated counterparts can be a little hard to follow. But other than that, the movie flows pretty well. The best part however is when they decide to pair up Ben Stiller with Robin Williams. They should have done more of that because they make a great comedy duo. Overall it was an entertaining movie all told and would be worth checking out if you enjoy animated films or even just Disney films, or just appreciate great acting talent in this case. The Night at the Museum was one of the best comedy movies ever made, not just by Ben Stiller but by all the actors in it. So, when I heard that they were making a sequel, I couldn’t believe it. The movie was supposed to be about an Egyptian idol who comes to life and wreaks havoc, while protecting the kidnapped President Teddy Roosevelt. But when I saw it, It was an animated movie made in 1997. So, there were no plans to make a sequel at all. But that is what they did instead of making another live-act drama like the other classic movies like Shrek 1&2. They decided to make a comedy movie, but one that was in the style of the original classic. So when the part of Jedediah character was stolen, they put in Ben Stiller to play an old man. But when Davis finds out what happened to Jedediah, he goes in search of him in an animated version in Egypt. They had a lot of fun putting this one together. It was well-written and acted. It kept you interested because you wanted to see how they pulled it off in this animated version with Will Ferrell and Ricky Gervais acting out their roles as Jedediah and Zira respectively. cfa1e77820
