Frodo Baggins, a hobbit from Hobbiton in the Shire, is set out on an unexpected journey to destroy the One Ring and save Middle-earth. Along with his friends and two Bilbo Baggins's, they go through many different lands and its people to reach Mount Doom before Sauron can take it all. Many things happen during their journey including some very interesting characters that you get to meet along the way. The Hobbit is about refusing to give into ordinary life because of what you are capable of doing for your loved ones. It also talks about how Frodo saves him self for years by not using his skills in adventure games like old legends did throughout history. Following the prelude, the first scenes follow Bilbo Baggins as he prepares to hold a party for Gandalf. He visits some relatives, including Frodo's uncle, Bilbo tells Frodo that he thinks that Frodo is too young for adventure. Bilbo does persuade Frodo to keep his magic ring. The wizard Gandalf arrives at Hobbiton and discovers that Bilbo had found the One Ring, but Bilbo double-crosses him by leaving with it on his trip to see elves. While in Rivendell, Frodo notices that an evil force is pursuing him and he is thrown into a mysterious world of dangerous forests with elves and dwarfs who are out to kill him. Gandalf and the elves want him to keep the ring, but Aragorn and Boromir believe he should return it. Meanwhile, an evil creature named Gollum has been following Frodo and tries to murder him. He fails and is captured by his friend. The next day, they encounter an old man named Tom Bombadil and he tells them that they will get to Mount Doom faster than they can imagine, which makes them decide to trust him on this journey. On their way there they meet Bill the Pony who helps them on their quest; however he does not like elves or dwarves (especially Aragorn). They meet a group of elves called the wood elves, in which ten of them are in love with Legolas. Gandalf tells Aragorn that he must go to Rivendell because he will be able to help them on their quest. The next morning, Frodo is stabbed by a Morgul-knife. He, Sam, and Gollum go through Mordor without the rest of the fellowship. The film ends when Frodo crosses the finish line after destroying the Ring by throwing it into Mount Doom's lava pit. In a press interview from EW, director Peter Jackson revealed that the original audio track was recorded in Shire accents, but due to the extraordinary complexities of lip-syncing the actors' faces to their dialogue, a decision was made to re-record all of their lines in standard American English accents. The film has received mostly positive reviews from critics. As of June 30, 2012, Rotten Tomatoes reported that 80% of critics gave positive reviews based on 250 reviews with an average score of 7/10. The site's consensus is: "A spectacular fantasy adventure with thrilling 3D action and a strong lead performance by Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins. cfa1e77820
